In a few words<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Institut des Maladies Neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratives (IMN) was created on January 1, 2011. It is the result of a merger of several teams, mainly from two former CNRS units. The laboratory has a staff of 180. IMN comprises fundamental research teams based at the Broca Nouvelle Aquitaine center, and a clinical pole at IBIO, directly connected to the Pellegrin University Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research at IMN focuses on neurodegenerative diseases and behavioral physiology. IMN brings together both preclinical researchers (working on experimental models) and clinicians, with the clear aim of developing new therapeutic approaches for neurodegenerative disorders. The fact that it is made up of two distinct entities with an integrated clinical focus makes it unique in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work carried out by IMN researchers paves the way for innovative medicine, particularly in the fields of Parkinson’s disease, memory processes, Alzheimer’s disease and functional imaging.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
